It's raining again...
This is theologically incorrect, but terribly funny!
A curious fellow died one day and found himself waiting in the long line of judgment. As he stood there he noticed that some souls were allowed to march right through the pearly gates into Heaven. Others were led over to Satan who threw them immediately into the burning fire. Every so often, though, instead of hurling a poor soul into the fire, Satan would toss a man to one side into a small pile.
After watching Satan do this several times, the fellow's curiosity got the best of him. He strolled over and asked Satan what he was doing.
"Excuse me, Prince of Darkness," he said. "I'm waiting in line for Judgment, but I couldn't help wondering, why are you tossing those people aside instead of flinging them into the Fires of Hell with the others?"
"Oh those..." Satan groaned. "They're all from Kansas. They're still too wet to burn."

Our God is alive...
What has God been doing in your life?
That was the question Susan and I and our college classmates spent hours answering at our twentieth reunion. It was exciting to hear how God had brought couples together. It was encouraging to listen to tales of God’s provision in difficult times. There was a lot of laughter and not a few tears at the Davis’ house.
What has God been doing in your life?
It occurs to me that Christians are the only people on the planet that can really answer that question. We are the only folks who serve a living God, one who alive and active in the world, one who loves his children and works for their good. We serve the one true God. That’s good news.
What has God been doing in your life?
God is alive and active in your life. He is daily bringing to you the things you need to become more like Jesus. Some of those things you might call “good.” You delight in the joys God sends. You thank him. Other things you might call “bad.” You wouldn’t choose the heartaches, the difficulties, the pains. But, believe it or not, they are for your good.
What has God been doing in your life?
Think about that question for a minute. Ask God to reveal the true answer. Then, as he shows you his goodness, his activity, his love and mercy, tell someone what God has been up to in your life. Your story might be just what they need to get them through the trial they’re facing with their faith intact.
