after my 16-mile ride, my legs were toasty and warm, ready to run. i walked the corner of pine and vine, then kicked it in. i ran north toward the schools at a fairly decent clip. i ran past the elementary and around past argonia mart before heading south. at that point, i decided i only had time to circle the north end of town, so i picked up the pace a bit and ran to the elevator, around past the old train depot and mill, a block south of the baptist church, over main street next to the tracks, past the recycling center and the storage units, along the west side of salter park and back to pine and vine.
i stopped my watch and looked at the time. i wasn't sure, but i thought that was the fastest i'd done this loop. i walked a bit to cool down, the headed into the house.
plugging in the numbers, i found that it was, in fact, my fastest northside loop. the best i'd done before was about a 8'13" pace. i've been feeling kind of sluggish recently, so it was nice to see the progress i've made.
