i was on call with ems tonight, so i could not go and enjoy the beautiful weather outside. instead i was forced by my circumstances to swallow my pride and run on the treadmill in the dungeon. such torture deserved a movie of equal darkness. "the count of monte cristo" was my choice for this night. i set the incline on the treadmill to 2% and started running with the opening scene of the film at 6mph. my intent was to run throughout the epic tale, but, alas, my legs and abs tired before the disc had run its course in full. i stopped at 10 miles and cooled down seated before the story as it finished itself out on the screen.
